In celebration of the 175th anniversary of St. Mary's Church, Swormville, our Parish Picnic Weekend has been expanded to include a Car Show on Friday, July 19th from 5 - 9 PM! There is a strong passion for classic cars in our community. This event presents the ideal opportunity to celebrate our history by offering parishioners and the wider community a chance to showcase their beloved vehicles and personal stories at St. Mary's inaugural Car Show!
Motorcycles are also welcome and eligible for prizes. Prizes will be awarded for both People's Choice and Participants' Choice for best car, best truck, and best motorcycle. Vehicles will be on display in the large lot behind St. Mary's Main Church, along the south driveway, and in front of the school.
If you would like to display your car, truck, or motorcycle at St. Mary's Car Show, pre-register with this link: https://stmaryswormville.ejoinme.org/2024PicnicCarShow. The registration fee is $10.00 through July 12, after which it becomes $15/vehicle. Registration closes July 18, 2024.
Spectators are free! There will be a Live DJ, Food Trucks (Johnny LaBella's pizza, LuGia's ice cream and WNY Food Carts), Souvenir T-shirts, Basket Raffles and a 50/50! Spectators should plan to park in the Swormville Fire Department parking lot off of Stahley Road. A limited number of spaces will be available in the chapel lot.
Car Show chairs, Al and Debbie Chrzanowski, share, " We aim to fill the parking lot with car enthusiasts and spectators alike. This event celebrates Community Spirit with a perfect blend of passion and fun. We eagerly anticipate this (the Car Show) becoming a cherished tradition for years to come."
